Taxpayer Revolt

By Christopher R Rice

The U.S. was the largest creditor in the world. Now the debt is in the trillions of dollars. Trillions of dollars transferred from the worlds richest & most powerful country. This is a form of destructive economic management at a level of graft & corruption that has NO parallel. There’s nothing comparable to that in history.

The national debt is in the trillions of dollars, even our kids will never see it paid off. As the administration and Congress argue over cuts in social programs, inequality in America grows more extreme each day. Even the great financial crash didn’t derail this trend. The richest 400 Americans, for example, increased their wealth by 54 percent between 2005 and 2010, while the median middle-class family saw its wealth decline by 35 percent.

According to economic journalist, David Cay Johnston, author of "Perfectly Legal," this trend is not the result of some naturally occurring, social Darwinist "survival of the fittest." It is the product of legislative policies carefully crafted and lobbied for by corporations and the super-rich over the past 25 years. New tax shelters in the 1980s shifted the tax burden off capital and onto labor.

As tax shelters rose, the amount of federal revenue coming from corporations fell (from 35 percent during the Eisenhower years to 10 percent in 2002). During the deregulation wave of the '80s and the '90s, members of Congress passed legislation (often without reading it) that deregulated much of the financial industry.

It’s not the result of mysterious global forces, or technology, or China, or structural problems concerning the skills and education of our workforce. Rather, it is the direct result of policy choices made by Democrats and Republicans alike.

The U.S. policy (includes tax policy, financial deregulation, trade policy, anti-labor policy, and much more.) for the past 30 years has been aggressively dedicated to shifting income share away from the poor and middle class and into the pockets of the already rich.

FACT: Corporations move our jobs overseas to take advantage of slave labor wages, lax environmental laws and no taxes. Yes, no taxes! “Free trade” allows giant multinational corporations to pay zero taxes overseas and zero taxes in America. In 2010, corporate giant GE made a profit of $14.2 billion but it paid not a penny in taxes because the bulk of those profits, some $9 billion, were offshore. In fact, GE got a $3.2 billion tax benefit (refund).

If corporations paid taxes (their fair share) our government could have a surplus – roads, dams, hospitals and schools would not be in disrepair or overcrowded because the government would have plenty of money for all these things as they once did and would not be looking for ways to cut social security or other social programs.

You and I, however, cannot compete with the money corporations spend to buy off congress, (i.e. our politicians) and voting only replaces one corrupt party with the other corrupt party.

FACT: These tax-breaks have occurred under Democrat and Republican administrations! Both are corrupt!

The bailouts resurrected high finance and the inequality it inevitably spawns. Instead of putting our foot back on the neck of finance, we’re talking about slashing social programs. Rather than dramatically increasing taxes on the super-rich through a wealth tax, we’re debating how to slash Social Security and Medicare benefits.

During an era in which the rich were getting richer anyway, we deliberately set out to reduce their tax burdens so that they could become even richer.

As Citizens for Tax Justice and USPIRG reported, 280 large and profitable corporations contributed $216 million to Congressional campaigns over four election cycles and got nearly a quarter of a trillion dollars in tax breaks.

That’s a terrific investment for them – a return of more than a thousand to one – but it’s a bad deal for the American people.

The official, or “statutory,” corporate tax rate is 35 percent. But the actual rate paid by American corporations is only 12 percent, less than that paid by many middle-class Americans.

Obama Signs Bill To Extend Bush Tax Cuts
By Brian Montopoli CBS News December 17, 2010

And Trump's “Tax Cuts and Jobs Act” delivers quick tax cuts across all income brackets in 2018. Over time, however, the tax cuts phase out for lower-income taxpayers. Taxpayers making under $75,000 a year will see tax increases of much as $300 by 2027, and those making under $30,000 would see hikes by 2021.

At the same time, wealthier families will continue to see tax cuts at the end of the decade, with returns of at least $1 million, averaging  $8,871 by 2027. The bill also slashes the corporate tax rate to 20% from 35%. In total, the total tax cuts would reach almost $1.5 trillion over the next decade.

Neither the left nor the right has been able to get our government to listen. Why do you think “THEY” call it…divide and conquer. So I ask you to come together. Not as Republicans. Not as Democrats. Not even as Independents. But as Americans.

United with one goal: TAKE AMERICA BACK. From a Federal government that has gone totally insane. Because liberty is worth fighting for.

Three of Obama’s top six contributors included Goldman Sachs, J.P. Morgan and guess who, Citigroup. After Donald Trump ridiculed Wall Street on the campaign trail, the President-elect tapped former Goldman Sachs Group Inc. executive Steven Mnuchin to be his Treasury secretary and billionaire investor Wilbur Ross to lead the Commerce Department. Stephen Bannon, Trump’s chief strategist, worked at Goldman Sachs, too. The foxes are running the chicken coop. Congress, unions and corporations have collaborated against “We the People”.

It has fallen to us, it is now our duty, your duty, my duty. To defend the country and Constitution from both enemies, foreign and domestic. Hold the guilty accountable. Arrest the criminals and hold new elections.

This is not a revolution. Patriots must be clear and precise in vision and action, lawlessness can not be accepted by anyone claiming to stand for liberty. Justice restores liberty and truth from the grasp of tyranny, and in future generations, it reminds those who are elected that they serve and represent the people. Those who make justice impossible, make violent revolution inevitable.

The media was suppose to be our watchdog, but under Clinton they were allowed to consolidate and become the governments lapdog.

Media are essential. We depend upon the news and information we get from the media. Our media system was not created by the free market. It’s the direct result of policies made by Congress and the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) in Washington.

The laws and regulations do not benefit the public. They only benefit big companies that can afford high-priced lobbyists. For decades, communications policies have been made behind closed doors, in the public’s name. Without our informed consent. That’s unacceptable.

Because “they” are screwing us whether we are Republicans or Democrats. Because “they” are destroying our country, our Constitution and everything our fathers fought and died for.

Not only do we have a moral obligation but according to the Constitution and Bill of Rights, we have the legal authority to remove our government.

151 Congressmen derive financial profit from war. Congressmen gave themselves a loophole so they only have to report their assets in broad ranges.

Republican and Democratic lawmakers invested $161.3 million in companies under contract with the DoD (Department of defense.) In 2006 Democrats had at least $3.7 million invested in the defense sector alone. Investments in these contractors yielded Congress members $62 million annually.

They also profit from tax cuts, and the bailouts.

Our strategy is simple:

1. If you do any banking with BofA, Wells Fargo, Chase or other large banks close those accounts now. Move all banking to small local independent banks or Credit Unions.

3. Send this URL to all your friends, post it to forums, put it on your personal pages, There will be ZERO mainstream media discussion of this BEFORE it happens. ZERO.

So, we must BE OUR OWN MEDIA and promote it. Link to this site from sites and blogs. Mention it with links in your comments on blogs. PROMOTE IT.

It does not matter if you voted Republican, Democrat or not at all, we have a choice and a responsibility to our children. To leave them a better world then the one that we found or not.

As things stand now, with federal taxes, state taxes, county tax, sales tax, property taxes, car tax, gas tax, phone taxes, etc. “They” take 4 months of our wages every year in taxes. For that kind of money we should have the best schools on the planet, right? But every year 30 to 50% of our kids get left behind. Let me repeat, taxes take 4 months of your wages away from you every year. That’s true under Republicans or Democrats!

4. WE NEED TO ORGANIZE so we can be effective.

What I am proposing will not be easy. Upcoming elections do us no good.

Congress and the Senate need to be held to one term. The founding fathers never intended there to be “career politicians”. Politician is not an occupation.

Republicans, Democrats, Independents and non-voters unite. You can buy off Congress but you’ll never be able to buy a Patriot!

Our founding fathers boarded commercial vessels and destroyed the cargo on board. I’m not asking you to break the law. Only to change where you bank and to help pass this info out.

We are not asking for money. For any of the upcoming actions to be effective we need to put millions of boots on the ground. No membership required, no dues, no donations or militias to join. Your NON-COMPLIANCE is our only weapon.
